Position Overview:
Introducing an exciting opportunity in the heart of Leichhardt! We are currently recruiting for a part-time Optical Retail Assistant to aid our clients through strong product knowledge and outstanding customer service skills.

What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Optical Retail Assistant with a strong background in retail and office administration or reception duties to join our team. As our Optical Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting customers with their eyewear needs while providing excellent service in our boutique retail store.

Experience in an Optical Store is highly desired, however, not essential. What is essential is that candidates are:
- Naturally inclined to help others
- Punctual and reliable and have a high standard of personal presentation
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Have experience in a role with reception and/or administrative duties
- Possess solid customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Inject positivity into a small team, have the desire to shine

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Excellence & Client Engagement: Elevate the client experience by aiding customers in making the most suitable decision when selecting and fitting eyeglasses.
- Customer Experience: Set new benchmarks in customer service by delivering personalised attention and surpassing expectations at every interaction. Embrace the store’s ethos of service excellence to cultivate lasting relationships with clientele by providing personalised recommendations based on customer preferences and prescription requirements.
- Efficient Boutique Operations: Process all sales transactions and ensure seamless operations and meticulous stock control to uphold the store's standards of excellence. Contribute to the smooth functioning of the store’s environment, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Creative Visual Merchandising: Aid the Store Owner in showcasing the great variety of luxury optical brands by closely adhering to boutique visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring an immersive environment that reflects the store's aesthetic and allure.
- Provide Optical Assistance: Aid the Store Owner/Optometrist by conducting pre-testing consultations to ensure a clear understanding of client needs and expectations, resulting in satisfaction throughout the evaluation and sales process.

Key Requirements:
- Strong background in retail, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong reception and/or office administration experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in an Optical Store and/or Optical Dispensing is highly desired, although not essential.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and industry trends as well as knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and frame styles is highly desired, although not essential.
