ODA, in conjunction with its Corporate Partners, brings you Webinar Wednesdays – a CPD-based one-hour webinar program held on the last Wednesday of each month (February to November). These sessions cover a wide range of industry-relevant topics, carefully curated to strengthen and expand our community’s skill set.

Webinar Wednesday events are available to non-members at a cost of $55 AUD per session, while all ODA members enjoy complimentary access as part of their membership. This provides outstanding value, allowing members to regularly engage in high-quality CPD opportunities without additional cost, while staying current, building skills, and supporting their ongoing professional development. Attendees of these live events will be allocated the advertised CPD points.

The carefully selected topics across all webinars and workshops are designed to build on your existing expertise beyond what is learned in the workplace or during the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing. As our face-to-face event offerings continue to grow, we encourage you to check back regularly for upcoming topics and release dates.

ODA also applies for New Zealand ODOB CPD credits for each event, offering our New Zealand Dispensing Opticians exceptional value and flexibility for maintaining professional registration. A broad range of topics and associated credits are applied for throughout the year across both webinar and in-person events, supporting NZ dispensing professionals in meeting their annual CPD requirements with ease. Once a session has been attended live or viewed via the recording, New Zealand participants will receive a certificate of participation via email, which can be used as evidence when submitting CPD credits.

For added convenience, if a live webinar cannot be attended, all ODA Members can still obtain CPD points and NZ DO credits through access to ODA’s recorded webinar library. All accredited webinar sessions remain available for a full two years, providing ample opportunity to complete CPD at a time that suits individual schedules.

For all ODA members, a currency certificate will be issued to those who complete 10 CPD points within each calendar year. In addition to the educational benefits of the program, this certificate is a valuable resource to present to current or prospective employers, demonstrating ongoing professional development and up-to-date industry knowledge.
