Matt Rebeiro
Optometrist & Director at The Spectacle Hut
Matt is an independent locum optometrist who studied Vision Science at UWA and then went on to study optometry at Cambridge in the UK. He traveled the UK as a locum and owned practices in the south of England. He passed the OCANZ exams and returned to Australia via 6 months in Jamaica.
Matt has travelled extensively within Australia in a mix of roles, including corporate, independent, hospital and volunteer placements as well as servicing rural and remote locations, including communities in the Pilbara and Kimberley as part of what is now Lions Outback Vision. He helped set up a volunteer program in Cambodia and travels regularly to PNG and also Christmas and Cocos Islands.
When not testing eyes, you'll find Matt fishing or BBQing with his 10 year old son, or waking early to follow Liverpool football club.
