Having a better understanding of modern progressive lens design is key to getting it right the first time which will not only save you time, but will enhance the overall satisfaction of your patients.

This webinar provides a comprehensive overview of progressive lenses, highlighting their advantages in seamless vision correction across varying distances. It explores key considerations in selecting the right design for individual patients, emphasising five critical factors:

* Occupation and recreational activities

* Corridor design

* Patient posture and

* Abbe value of lens materials. 

During this session, Michael will also introduce you to the intricate lens designing process, including the ins and outs of lens mapping. Additionally, he will examine the impact of the addition on progressive lens design while using case studies and practical examples to illustrate successful applications of progressive lenses.

Presenter Bio

With over 13 years of work experience in the optical industry, Michael is a qualified Optical Dispenser with a double degree in Law and Business. His is currently the director at Opticare Pty Ltd, a family owned innovative and customer centric lens manufacturer, equipment provider and business support company for independent optometry practices. Michael is a passionate and driven leader who strives to elevate the perception and performance of independent optometry in Australia. As the Director at Opticare, he oversees the production, pricing, sales, and distribution of a comprehensive range of lenses for various markets and segments.
