Help Us Take the Gift of Sight to Samoa: 100 Pairs in 100 Days

The ODA volunteer team has just returned from Fiji with the South Pacific Eye Care Foundation (SPEC Foundation), where they dispensed 987 pairs of prescription glasses in just 5 days.

For many of the people they met, a simple pair of glasses meant so much more than clearer vision. It meant being able to read, learn, work, care for family and carry out everyday tasks with greater independence. But the work doesn’t stop there.

Their next destination: Samoa

The SPEC Foundation is now preparing to take an outreach project to Samoa, and they’re looking for at least 10 businesses to join their 2026 100 Pairs in 100 Days initiative.

The concept is simple.

They will provide your business with:

• 100 donated, brand new spectacle frames

• 100 pairs of uncut, single-vision prescription lenses

All they need from you is your support in edging and fitting just one pair of spectacles each day for 100 days.

By sharing the workload across 10 (or more) participating businesses, they hope to prepare at least 1,000 pairs of prescription spectacles to take with them on their next project.

At the end of the 100 days, together, we will have created something incredibly powerful: 1,000+ pairs of glasses ready to help people in need see more clearly.
