Wednesday, 23 February is fast approaching, and with it comes our first CPD event – Webinar Wednesday. Held on the last Wednesday of each month (Feb - Nov) – Webinar Wednesdays provide an online platform of industry related topics, curated in conjunction with our Corporate Partners, to help strengthen and expand our optical community's skill set. The first three webinars for 2022 are FREE for Qualified, Affiliate and Student ODA Members. Anyone without a valid ODA Membership is also invited to attend at a cost of $55.
Attendees will receive one CPD point per webinar with additional opportunities to gain CPD points from supplementary events throughout the year. A currency certificate will be distributed to those that have completed 10 CPD points each calendar year. On top of the educational benefits of the program, the currency certificate is a great addition to present to a future or current employer to show relevancy and up to date knowledge in the industry.

TOPIC: Improving your dispensing outcomes through behaviour profiling. Using the D.O.P.E evaluation concept: Dove, Owl, Peacock, Eagle - we will look at successfully profiling clients in an optical setting. Being empowered with this knowledge will enable you to better tailor your advice, dispensing techniques and troubleshooting. We will discuss case studies and tips on what to do and what not to do for a successful outcome with each of these behavioural types. – Presented by Gillie Readett of ACOD
