New Zealand Dispensing Opticians can now earn ODOB accredited CPD points by joining ODA's popular 'Webinar Wednesday' live sessions or by watching the pre-recorded webinars in the ODA Members Webinar Library.
Each year there will be a minimum of 10 CPD points available through the live sessions with the opportunity to earn additional points via watching approved webinars in the Webinar Library.
Dispensing Opticians can acess all of this for FREE if they become an ODA Member. Membership is just $272(aus) for 12 months and includes a huge list of benefits including access to the resource library, use of the online dispensing calculators, discounted tickets to ODA conferences, webinar access and more!
Non-Members may still access the live sessions for $55(aus) per webinar but can not use the Webinar Library.
Webinar Wednesday currently happens on the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm
(Australian Eastern Time) and the Webinar Library can be accessed 24/7.
The first ODOB CPD approved Webinar for 2024 will take place on Wednesday 28th February on the topic of: "Ethical Dispensing Considerations", presented by ACOD's Virgillia Readett and offers 1 Ethical Point.
The March Webinar is being presented by Marianne Coleman of the University of Melbourne on the topic of "Adapting communication and approach to accommodate dementia". (1 General Point)
April's Webinar will focus on "Dispensing Quality Single Vision Lenses with Confidence" and is being presented by Rodenstock's Nicola Peaper. (1 General Point)
